Indoor Season Starts This Week

Members,

We wanted to take this opportunity to share some important information with you in anticipation of the Indoor Season.

Schedule

Schedules have now been posted for all divisions. The Indoor Season will begin on:

  • Thursday, September 17,  Open-Age Tiered Divisions

  • Tuesday,  September 22, Ladies’ Masters (O30) Division

    Registration

The  website’s registration function will be temporarily disabled on Tuesday, September 15th to facilitate the registration process. It will be re-open for additional registration once the process is completed.

Registration closes for the fall season on Saturday, October 31st, but will reopen in December (date TBA) for those teams needing to add players for the second half of the season.

At that time, players who have played will not be removed from the rosters. However teams will be able to add players beyond the current 17-player cap.

    Double Headers

This year, two of our divisions have an odd number of teams. To accommodate all teams and reduce the incidences of bye weeks, teams playing in Tier A and the Ladies’ Masters Division play occasional double headers. We have made every effort to schedule these games back-to-back to ensure maximum convenience. Please consult the schedule to determine when your team plays double headers.

    Rule Changes

We have made several changes to the Rules for Indoor Play. The updated rules were been posted to the website a week prior to the start of the season. If you have not familiarized yourself with the new rules, please take the opportunity to do so.

Key changes to be aware of include:

  • Teams must have a minimum of 4 players registered to the team ready to play at kick-off time. Failure to dress 4 registered players will result in forfeiture.

  • Teams may call upon up to 3 loan players per game to supplement a short bench, provided that the total number of players dressed for the game does not exceed 7. (See Rule 4.2.2 for further clarification.)

  • Players may play as a loan player a maximum of 3 times during the season (September – April). (See Rule 4.2.3 for further clarification.)

    Reminder

Please be sure to follow the rules of our host facility, the Kingston 1000 Islands Sportsplex. These include:

  • No food, drink, or gum inside the dome (water is the only exception)

  • Be mindful of the teams playing after you. Be sure to remove your belongings and exit the play area as soon as your game is completed to give incoming teams ample time to start their games.

  • If you are playing the last game of the evening, please be sure to move your bench to the end of the far end of the field.

    Enjoy the season!
